The Castle's south-facing...

The Castle's south-facing rock wall as seen on February 8, 2003. Hiemal conditions cause snow to burm up on the lower, lighter colored base of the wall, thus reducing the pitch height. The ugly rappel anchor slings can be seen at center right slung around the horn. The easiest way up to the ridge crest is via a class 4 ramp and short dihedral/wall just out of frame to the right.
