Re: Fantastic...Thanks so much, Hiltrud! :-) Yesterday (2013-12-14) I spent half a day on the Planai above Schladming, taking pictures of the Dachstein group and the Schladminger Tauern. Then (it was still only two o'clock in the afternoon) I got on the train coming from Graz to go back to Salzburg. As I approached Bischofshofen, I observed the limestone walls of the Tennengebirge, illuminated by the afternoon sun. It was so beautiful that just as the train approached Werfen, I couldn't resist any more and decided on the spur of the moment to get off the train and walk up the slope above Werfen and wait for the setting sun. I think it was well worth it... :-)

Re: Would be about time...Oh Vid - I must confess to you now that I've lived already for 26 years in Salzburg and have never done any hiking in the Tennengebirge yet, not one single time!
It's about time for me too! :-)
Maybe one of these days we could do Hochkogel, Tiroler Kogel or the Fieberhörner together? :-)

Re: Would be about time...No, not really...Around Christmas I'll be gone anyway. Coming Friday I go to Bamberg for three days, then to Freiburg to visit my Father on Christmas Eve, and over New Year's...don't quite know yet. Are you doing any travels during the holidays?
