The first order of business...
The first order of business for the traverse to Pk 4960+ was to get off the summit of the NE Peak (at upper left). We were almost immediately stymied by a steep downclimb into a notch by way of a snowy arête. Fortunately the snow was soft and deep...at least for me. I think it got progressively harder for my followers. Going first sometimes has its advantages. February 19, 2005.
