The first "pitch"

This is the first "pitch" (we simulclimbed the entire route) that crosses under the north side of the initial ridge with fin-like crest. It was Class 4 for a bit of horizontal then Class 3 upward on a diminutive rib. There is a Class 4 chimney that will bypass this sort of to climber's (camera's) left of this image. July 4, 2009.
