The foggy summit of Flat Top...
The foggy summit of Flat Top on labor day weekend. You can see the mailbox that serves as the register and here my son Brad, Adam and Bob are hitting their lunches. The snow was new.

I read your TR Dean. Interesting.

He said that we were very lucky that he didn't have the sheriff arrest us but felt that we weren't up to any mischief and had been mislead. ...we weren't arrested but we were certainly more aware of the intensity that some of these people feel when their land is "violated".

Wow, God-forbid you should steal some of his cars parked in front of his "villa" right off of their blocks!!! Or possibly some other priceless valuables!! I'm sure that just for that very reason the guy has some heavy-duty artillery at home.

That was an interesting experience. I had never experienced a head to head confrontation with a landowner before but Bob and I pretty much cooled the guy off with our "innocent" northwest demeanor. The guy noticed the Washington license plate and knew immediately that we weren't locals who were out to poach or cut plant or flora. Actually, I think he was suspicious of Bob though.
