The Leaves of European Wild Ginger
European Wild Ginger (Asarum europaeum) grows in the forests of all mountain ranges of Poland. The plant consists of a short stem which bears large, dark green, kidney-shaped evergreen leaves. When leaves are rubbed, this plant gives out a very peculiar smell. The flowers are purplish-green and not very showy.
