Re: bella...

Nulla di eccezionale! Ma ho un ricordo di una piacevole giornata. Grazie

Bella imagine!

Don't you think I'm improving my Italian? Well, I think your photo is very nice, and especially from this angle. I stayed in the rifugio 1 night in the beginning of August '05 and it was maybe my best night in the Dolomites. Sunset, warmth, hospitality, great views, few people etc. Rifugio Passo Santner is going to be torn down next year - let's hope for a new rifugio in the same size and with the same spirit.

Ciao

Re: Bella imagine!

Sure, your are improving. But remember "immagine" and not "imagine", you need two "m".

In that area there are many huts (Santner, Re Alberto, Gardeccia, Vajolet, Fronza), and some are very close one to each other. I didn't know of the destiny of the Santner, but it could be not negative the reduction of building's density there. In any case, I'm sure you can find the same feelings and a perfect hospitality in Re Alberto. Valeria, the owner of the hut, is friend of mine and his collaborators (an American plus an Argentine girl) are wonderful. Try and let me know! Ciao

Re: Bella imagine!

Thank you for the correction. Concerning the Santner I think a new one of the same size will be built, just more modern. And you are right, there are many huts in the area. I never saw Re Alberto inside, but I'm sure they will be just as friendly as in all the other huts in Italy. Next time I am in the vicinity I will go there and ask for you!

Ciao

Jørgen
