The sleepy central square in the village of Sorrueda

In fact, sleepy is an understatement. Deserted comes closer; we paid three visits, and saw nobody. Still, the houses look well maintained and on a different occasion we saw other cars parked here. But I thought it strange that there was no shop or small cafe here. Then again, Sorrueda is a very small village, and the number of climbers and hikers passing through on their way to the nearby Barranco de Tirajana won't be enough to sustain any such enterprise. 11 December 2013.
