The Trifels castel as seen from the Asselstein

Between the rock Asselstein and the castel Trifels, the distance is very small (approximatively 2 kilometers). This photo is showing you a scene, which was taken from the bases of the Asselstein. The kingly castel of Trifels (one of the most famous and legendar castels from all the Palatinate region ! ), is very beautiful and impressive to see. The view will be better from the summit of the rock, but unfortunately, is the summit of the Asselstein only accessible, for an experimented climber ! For going thereover, you need absolutely a special equipment of climbing. As seen from the base, is the Asselstein considerated like a giant ... With almost 58 meters high, are the southern walls very " hot " !!!
