The Wandering Linnet

The Linnet (Carduelis cannabina) is a small migratory bird from the finch family and it can often be seen throughout the Low Beskid. It builds its nest in the middle of a shub usually not more than 2 meters above ground. The chicks hatch after 13 days and spend two weeks in the nest. Linnets feed on the ground and their diet consists of seeds, grasses and weeds. The Low Beskid - August 06, 2008.
