The Watchman from Johnson Mountain

The Watchman from Johnson Mountain

The Watchman as seen from the summit of Johnson Mountain. From here its easy to see why routefinding is so tricky on this steep, complicated mass of slickrock. Zion National Park, Utah. November 2009.

Great Colors

Great shot Sarah. The desert provides a nice place to climb and shot photos.

Re: Great Colors

Sure does! This is spoiling me though and I can't say I'm looking forward to snowshoes, freezing temps, and ferocious winds back in Colorado now.

Actually, this is not such

a bad representation of The Watchman.

Besides that, I don't see anything that
reminds me of food !!!

Definitely deserves POTD!

What a.........

What a beautiful picture. Love the colors in contrast to the dark sky. Way to capture the moment.

Great!

Another great photo of the Utah mountains! The rich color of the sandstone combined with the dark clouds gives it an interesting tension!
Cheers and greetings,
Eric
