Did you get a walk-up permit or a lottery permit? I just looked up the system online. I may try to check this out in the late fall. I've been down the same road I think and hiked into the Nankoweep Trail of the upper Grand Canyon.

Friend of mine had to spend three days in a
motel in Big Water waiting to win the lottery .. hope the place had cable TV!
