This photo appeared in the Seattle Times and is interesting to me because it was taken the same day I summitted. I was in the line of climbers in this pic as I remember watching the plane circle around over us. You can see the line of climbers coming up on the left from the DC route and the "trail" that goes across the crater to the highest point. I think this photo gives a good perspective of the actual summit of Mt. Rainier. 8-9-69
