Trying to get that remote control working

Trying to get that remote control working

Yours truly, trying to proudly present the remote control of his camera to his girlfriend. Didn't work as expected as you can see. It simply wouldn't reach far enough which I was trying to find out by trial and error. Behind are Monte Nona (right) and Monte Procinto (the tower to the left), both in the Alpi Apuane, Tuscanny. Do I detect some humor?

It's difficult to perceive whether (or not)
you're coming or going !

Have you ever heard the awesome sounds of
"Should I Stay Or Should I Go" by The Clash?

Here's a small SAMPLE.

Re: Do I detect some humor?

Humour? You want to laugh at me? Pah!

Actually the scene was rather embarrassing. I pick out my remote control.

Q: "Oh, is that new?"
A: "Hehe..."

Then I adjust the camera and return. Click on the 2s button and ... nothing happens. I click again and seem to overhear a slight sniggering sound from the left. Return to camera to see if everything is correctly adjusted. Click remote control behind camera. Click!

Move in front of camera and click again. Click! Move further away. Click! Even more. Click! Back to girfriend who is by now having trouble to sit still and apears to be falling off her rock for all the laughing. Nothing!

Back to camera - switch to 10s, push the button and run. The old-fashioned way ...

:o(

Humour? Pah!

Re: Pah?

Please, may I add ...

If you come to Arizona, your skin will soon
turn brown from the sun. And, you will never
worry about technical blunders, because there
will be SOMEBODY there with a smiling face
to take your picture - you just HAND your
camera over to them.

All you must do is make sure you get your
camera back.

Is your girlfriend STILL your girlfriend,
after this unfortunate incident occurred ???

Re: Pah?

I must say that Arizona scares me. It's bad enough that I make these blunders and document them. Even post them on SP. But other people? With smiling faces?

And yes. she has known me for the last 19 years and enjoys these kind of situations. Do I hear some sniggering in my back again?

Re: Dear Gangolf:

Entirely based on the information you have
revealed to me, I am compelled to draw a
"circumstantial conclusion" regarding the
the so-called "technical blunder" you have
been hastily accused of committing."

It is my understanding that you have acted
solely as a human being, showing feelings
of an "utterly" human nature.

Therefore, I offer you my closing statement:
"You and your girlfriend ROCK !!!" : ))
