Tunkelbald archeological site

This is a well known archeological site called Tunkelbald. In the language of Cimbri people the word means "dark woods". The place lies in the valley of Assa creek. In prehistoric times here came on the Asiago plateau one of main paths and in rock walls carvings from those times are preserved. In summer time from the neighbourin towns Roana and Canove guided tours come down in the valley (45 min walk), but in winter it's nobody there. So, we were not able to get closer to the walls to see better. Actually, we saw almost nothing, but the place is strange enough to boost imagination. February 21st, 2014.
