Twisting Falls, TN

Twisting Falls is one of the most challenging falls I've been to. The effort is worth it. The 30' falls are on the Elk River about 3 miles downstream from Elk Falls in North Carolina. To get to this falls you have to navigate remote backroads, descend a trail that drops 600' in a half mile and make your way another 1/4 mile up the rocky riverbank. Carter County.
