I really wanted to summit my namesake peak here while I was in the area, but the weather would just not cooperate during my brief climbing windows.

Actually the mountain is named after me, I'm not sure why they put the "Mc" in front of it.

Well sir. There's a "corruption of names"
thread on the forum page, but that subject is
a little too serious for my tastes.

How is the weather? Have you been getting lots
of inclement weather and T-storms up there ???

Lightning at this very moment here in central oregon, and I left lightning storms behind me in Idaho when I headed back here, its that time of year.
