Great

I was up there July 27th 2008 and had a look around the area with a friend. This lake was almost completely frozen when we went. I was just wondering when exactly in August you were up there.

snow

How much snow do you think was at the edge of the lake to the right at this time?

I couldn't be sure, but it was several feet deep. It was at the base of very steep slopes and cliffs so I'm sure it piled up there very deep. I could see cracks that went in several feet. The amount of snow in August of 08 was much more than what I saw up there in July of 07.
