A Few Words: SummitPost log entries are from my journal, begun when I started climbing on 21 November 1987. I was totally clueless then about how profoundly climbing would change my life.

Pindude and I met in Spokane's Mountain Gear: he worked there, & I may as well have. Two years later the store closed early for our wedding. We left the church under an "Ice Axe Arch of Steel": all 30 of MG's rentals, lol!

Thesis: "The incidence of acute mountain sickness as affected by hormonal contraception" (1996, Whitworth College)
