For immediate release: Mount Rainier July trip (7/14 – 7/23/06) We are currently looking for highly motivated team players that have intermediate to advanced hiking skills that are willing to climb to the summit of Mount Rainier involving glacier travel. Mount Rainier is an awesome 14,411’ peak 80 miles SW of Seattle WA This mountain serves practice for larger peaks such as Denali and Everest We are thin as far as the number required as a glacier team and would like to add two qualified climbers. We will interview people from the New England/New York area that are interested. They must have some degree of knowledge in roped glacier travel, self-arrest in a fall and knowledge of the z-pulley rescue system involving crevasse rescue. People interested must purchase airline tickets for 7/14 – 7/23 to Seattle/Tacoma Airport at least 2 weeks before the trip We have some equipment that can be loaned. But most can be rented at EMS or REI
