I used to be a mountaineer/rock climber/backpacker, skier (an Adaptive ski instructor), played volleyball competitively for over 40 years and studied the martial arts for 6 years, wow that was a lot!   I have climbed 11 of the 15 California 14,000 foot peaks and many other peaks in the Sierra Nevadas, the Angeles NF and San Bernardino NF, San Jacinto Wilderness,  a few in Colorado and various desert peaks in California, Nevada and Arizona.  I recently had two total hip replacements so it is hard to tell right now if I can do the sport of mountaineering again, most likely not.  There was an old saying we had in the California Mountaineering Club/CMC: there are no old bold mountaineers.  I plan on posting some of the adventures I have had with many great mountaineering/ climbing teams from the past with photos, additions and descriptions.  Best always, health and safety first and good luck to everyone who climbs everywhere!
