I am a recreational climber. I'm not into "bagging the peaks", but I do enjoy a summit, ice or rock, every few years. I enjoy motorcycling, reading the Great Poets, writing poetry, playing classical guitar, and have a largely artificial leg now from a recent motorcycle accident. I dream of riding again, repairing and beautifying my bike, a 2003 centennial H-D Springer named "Whisperin' Winnie", rehabilitate my leg, climbing to 3 more summits, Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier, and Gannett Peak, before I die. I am divorced (Nov 2013), have three wonderful children, a 21-year old son, a 20-year old daughter, and 13-year old son. I do dream of a life's mate, a life-long female companion, to finish my days, and to write a book about my avalanche experience by the time I am 50. God is Good. Everyday I want to live my life believing this: "If I die today, I die happy."
