A Few Words: Originally from Michigan. Moved to Missoula, Montana in 2006. I thoroughly enjoy doing anything outside, including hiking, running, and fishing. Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in geology from the University of Montana. I am interested in sedimentary processes and flow regimes. I believe there's natural poetics in geologic sciences and people like John McPhee have captured it well. I also really enjoy writing, and am working to complete a series of poems about geology and the natural world. I am a musician and have been playing drums for twelve years and am currently teaching myself piano. I am greatly intrigued by long distance solo hiking and consider people like Everett Ruess and Andrew Skurka legendary. Cheers!
