A Little About Me
Hello fellow climber/skier:
It pains me to say I started rock climbing 35 years ago, then moved on to the ice, then technical caving, all on the east coast. Came out to the PNW 20 years ago to windsurf and kayak then I climbed Mt. Hood, then Adams, and sold my windsurfers - kept the boats though :), Got really hooked on alpine climbing which as you probably know if you climb out here tends to end in a nice trad lead to the summit, often on the rotten rock! Been on most of the big cones from Northern CA to the North Cascades, and a few other states through the US.
I've been skiing for over 40 years, hard, and got into the backcountry about 15 years ago. I also cross country - backcountry. Taken Avi and BC First Aid training. Long -multi-day approaches are my preferred climb. My favorite PNW ski spots are the SW Chutes on Mt. Adams and St. Helens.
