A Little About Me
I started climbing mountains in August 2006 at the ripe age of 30. A month later I had an open heart surgery to fix a leaking mitral valve.
I used the mountains to get my health and stamina back. Went to a local mountain less then 3 months after the surgery.
7 1/2 months after the surgery I summited Hvannadalshnukur (2119m, the highest point in Iceland). Since then I've been to quite a number of mountains here in Iceland.
So far the pinnacle of my mountaineering came when I summited Mont Blanc in july 2008, less then 2 years after my surgery.
