A Little About Me
I grew up among the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, USA, but now living and working in mountain-challenged SE Asia. However, a few unique "mountains" to visit are out there. Doing a search of "Mountains of Thailand" will turn up a 15-meter-high mountain, so I won't be too depressed about SE Asian adventures awaiting me.
I'm waiting for a government change in close-by Burma (Myanmar) to get back into some real mountaineering again with the magnificent peaks offered in the northern regions of that country. Stay tuned.
Photo of self demonstrates required climbing gear for SE Asia: sun hat & glasses, camera, day pack, Ex-Officio shirt with multitudes of vent holes, liters and liters of water, and out of view--open-toed sandals without socks. At least it's all light-weight.
