A Few Words: I just moved to SLC (Jan 2011) after living in Chicago for the past 9 years. Instead of spending 2-3 weeks a year playing in the mountains, I decided to give up the "big city" for a mountainous playground instead. So far, I have absolutely zero complaints. Utah is a truly beautiful place.

I contracted the climbing bug in late 2009 after climbing Mt. Rainier through Alpine Ascents. Since then, I've climbed The Grand Teton, Island Peak, Rainier again (unguided), and took a 10 day mountaineering class in AK. Nothing too crazy but all have been amazing adventures.

I'm looking to continue to build my skills & experiences and hope to find some climbing partners out here in UT soon! Although, I've been told recently that mountain biking is amazing here as well. These hobbyies aren't cheap.
