| Why I dont climb Colorado 14's (other than Longs):: | I believe the thousands of people who focus solely on a list of mountains that hold some arbitrary number attached (14,000), most of which are ugly, uninspiring choss piles, lack vision and do not fully understand the beauty of climbing mountains. They ���¢??tick���¢?? off the peaks like some score card, and do not climb for themselves. ���¢??Peak Baggers���¢?? are not mountaineers; they are glorified, ego-driven tourists who have strong legs but a weak heart. |
