I'm a day-hiker familiar with summits from Mount Rogers VA to Rabun Bald GA. I helped build the summit trail at Elk Knob State Park. I am interested in SB6K and Smokies hikes.
When not afoot:
I write the County Highpointer column for the Highpointers Club newsletter.
I keep a website called LeContest.com to tracks the most obsessive climbers on the Smokies' most compelling mountain. This website includes an honor roll of those who have climbed it the most--nearly 100 individuals have made at least 100 climbs, as well as records, FKTs, and specialty lists.
I am working on a centennial history for LeConte Lodge.
