OfflineA Little About Me
Happy to stumble on this site. I've hiked a little of everywhere; Catskills, Vermont hike peaks,...more. Hiked some of the Great Range, Adirondack Mtns. in 2006.(me,Ed,Paul) did about 17 miles, 3 (4?) peaks; Saddleback, Basin, little Haystack, Big Haystack. Over 7,600 feet of vertical elevation gain. In 13 hours! Awesome wilderness hiking. Nothing compares out east here so far, (New York anyways,) but still, it's a raw, unencumbered, pure, back-woods wilderness. Nothin' like it. Great, challenging open-rock climbing/scrambling! I'll never forget some of the long-upward climbing the ladders straight up the mossy, wet, dangeous rock of Basin or Saddleback, or Haystack? (Can't remember which one?....) AWESOME! You gotta do it!
