Val di Mello is ...

... the valley that, inside the Masino mountains, on its south (Italian) side, divides the main ridge (Badile-Castello) from the ridge coming toward west from Monte Disgrazia.

... known as the little Yosemite,
... the best (I think) granite rock climbing area of Europe hosting routes (up to 600m) that can be climbed all year long
... and in winter some of very fine icefall climbs
... and in spring and summer a fabulous site for family hikes and picnics :)

and now it is a Natural Park

yes ... but why lose time on boulders when there are 300-600 m walls ? :)
