on my way from Vegas to Zion National Park. Couple of interesting hikes with rock paintings and nice scenery. Best to go in springtime or fall when its not too hot
My wife Carol and I stayed at the Atlatl Rock Campground along with our trusty German Shepard, Brit and we hiked every non-technical canyon and slot that we could find from the campsite. Most required some moderate scrambling and a bit of stiff hiking but only one slowed down our old dog. Some of the canyons appeared to pinch off but all were passable in the end. We have visited this magical place 3 times and I'm certain we will come back again.
