Vallone del Forno, "Oven valley".

Oven valley. This steep sprawl of naked rocks was once climbed often to get to Corno Bianco summit(3320m). Now another route, the Rissuolo one, is preferred. during summer this place can be hot as hell, its nice name is a proof. The valley climbs from Alpe Le Pisse at 2100m till Bocchetta del Merlo("Blackbird pass" at 3000m). The image is property of The Varallo section of the Italian Alpine Club.
