Looks like the view

of Mt. Shasta got washed out. Must have been some wildfires burning somewhere. The lake really looks inviting. Thank you for posting!!! Gotta LOVE Oregon!

If you blow up the shot Shasta and Shastina are both there - but certainly obscured by haze. Not the best of days for award winning photos but that didn't spoil it. It was a wonderful hike after the rigours of an almost snow-less Shasta 2 days before.

Yes, I see them now,

AFTER I beefed up the resolution. Can the ALMOST snow-less Shasta be related to ... global warming?

From USGS photos, looks like a HEALTHY GLACIER growing inside the crater of Mt. St. Helens in Washington. But then, you have to figure in the directional ASPECT & the amount of annual snowfall. Hope California gets some snow !!!
