View towards Zakopane | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |||
It is high time I said goodbye to Orla Perć and started descending. My route back to the town of Zakopane will consist of three parts: half an hour down Żleb Kulczyńskiego (Kulczyński's Couloir), then in the dark along the tarns and later on past the huts on Hala Gąsienicowa (Gąsienica's Pasture), then through the dense fog covering the lower, forested parts of the valleys and Zakopane (and the whole Podhale Basin). On the left, the characteristic silhouette of Giewont is visible. Above the white "sea", near its centre, rises the faint cone of Babia Góra. 23 October 2012 |
