Left to right are Granite Butte, Burger Butte and China Cap. The closest ridge is that just north of Swamp Lake Pass with an interesting basalt-looking pinnacle. On the horizon are Rock Creek Butte and the other Elkhorn Peak in the Elkhorn Range of the Blue Mountains.

That looks loose and challenging

Did you find that on a topo map? I imagine it must be listed at least as a spot elevation. Elkhorn is a nice addition, I'm surprised it took this many years to get added to Summitpost! I was going to climb and add it back in 2010, but got hurt descending Hurricane Ridge South and bailed. Looking at your route pictures I'm glad I did!

Looking at the topo, looks like it might be Point 8455 on that ridge. Was going to head back there to try to find a way up Glacier Mountain this weekend but weather doesn't look so good. Love this western Wallowa area and the lack of people there.
