Signpost at Ginreisui - one of the few water sources on the trail – at 1040m, 4.4km from the Iwaobetsu trailhead, 2.5km from the summit of Rausu.
Warning: drinking water from mountain streams in Hokkaido can lead to contracting echinococcosis, a parasitic disease spread by the Ezo red fox.
