Fantastic shot, but...I wonder if it was really summer .. So much snow in summer in Tatras would be a huge surprise for me. I´ve never seen so much snow in summer in Tatras. Maybe it was spring - maybe april ??

Snowy summeryeah, it happens sometimes:) I was in Tatras 2 years ago in august and snow was knee-deep:)

Re: Snowy summerIt was early August 2005, when winter attacked...I had some exciting adventures in Tatras then so I remember it quite well, some photos from that time also in my gallery here...avalanche lines in Rovenky valley grrrrrrrrrr ;)

Re: Snowy summerYes, august 2006 there were avalanches also on Rysy and Jahnaci stit. I was then on Rysy.. Wonderful! I didn't have own camera, but one polish friend sent me a photo that used to be my member photo here.
