Lost Lake Basin on the north side of Mt. Ruth offers the best back country camping in the vicinity. The point at center is Pk 8,428 that forms the divide between the headwaters of the North Fork Powder River and Dutch Flat Creek to the north. Twin Mountain is in distance to the right and Van Patten Butte to the left. August 2005.
