Star Peak as seen from Oval Peak to the NNE on July 27, 2002. The East Ridge is extending to the left. Just below the summit can be seen the ramp that could be used to reach the summit (see Climbing Routes section). On the right can be seen the precipitous north side faces and ridges below the 8,155-ft northwest summit.
