Mount Washington

This pic is perfect proof that the mountains of New Hamsphire and the Adirondacks are nothing special, there are some truly fine rugged low altitude mountains around.

Re: Mount Washington

Good judgment on a lovely photo, James. We all like the mountains we're born with though, don't we? Crib Goch is part of the Snowdon Horsehoe, one of the sacred places of the Welsh heart and a crucible of British mountaineering.

Great pic

Great shot, I've made it the default pic of my Snowdon page.

When was it taken?

Empty

This is a great photo, but the real achievement is being their on your own. Every time I've done the Snowdon Horseshore, even in winter, there have always been loads of other people around.

That brings back memories

One of my most memorable trips up Snowdon, was a late dash across Crib Goch, whilst on it the weather closed in and we were in a white out, we just had to sit it out, which we did huddled in a GISU (not seen them around for ages). later the clouds parted, by this time it was dark and the moon shone through the parting. Exquisite alas the picture is just a memory.
