Thanks, Vernon.

What I found especially interesting about this area was that the fire was so intense the ground was scorched - even Beargrass roots were destroyed. However, the area was full of very busy chipmunks, which convinced me there was plenty to eat (probably seeds) and the area will recover. I can't wait to have a look next spring (2008).
