The summit tower from the Boston-Sahale Col on July 29, 2000. That's a person standing at the summit and in the notch at left. The traverse across the snow was steep with a dubious run out, but totally manageable with the boot trench. Everyone was avoiding the fractured cornices. Pretty obvious why.
