The Cove

Overview

This is not a climbing destination. These are just some small sandstone cliffs and boulders that are fun to mess around on if you happen to be staying in Tofo or Barra. The rock is a particularly crumbly sandstone so be careful with each hold. The sandstone is pretty sharp but has a really cool coral look to it. It's good fora couple of hours of bouldering.

Getting There

From Inhambane take a chapa to Tofo or Barra.
From Tofo head to the left if you are looking at the ocean. You will almost get to the lighthouse and then you will see the "rock"
From Barra head to right if you are looking at the ocean. once you get around the point with the lighthouse you will see the "rock" ahead of you.

Red Tape

No red tape, its on the beach.

Camping

You can camp in Tofo at Fatima's backpacker. There are a host of other lodges and accommodations both in Tofo and Barra.
