An October in NJ (Yes New Jersey)

An October in NJ (Yes New Jersey)

October is a great time to go hiking in the Northeast, and my home State of NJ is not an exception. Sometimes people forget that there is scenery in NJ besides buildings. Sitting in 5 lanes of traffic doesn't make people want to explore NJ any more than they have to. In the northern part of the State, and in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area there are some great hikes to be found. Every fall I find myself heading to the mountains we got, to go and see the scenery.

This year a friend from work was able to go hiking with me, and we had a nice time. It was good to be able to take someone who had yet to go hiking here. To be able to see the enjoyment of someone else, of the sights you have loved before, is very cool.

NJ?

Yeah, I wouldn't have expected this good scenery in NJ. Nice photos -- looks like you had good weather for picture taking.

Very Nice

Way to represent NJ, which has a bad rap in terms of scenery (as NY often does).

Looks like your making your way West across the US in terms of high points. When you get to Borah, let me know. Thanks for checking out my USGS page, also.
