At our first rest stop (c. 3600 ft) above the first cliff bands. The route traverses across the slope to the couloir beyond. Just out of sight to upper right are a bunch of snow blocks perched precariously on slabs. We were following other tracks, tracks which later petered out in the couloir (guess whoever it was turned around). Stupidly, these tracks traversed right underneath these snow blocks. Not ten minutes after being beneath them, one or more of them let loose and completely obliterated our tracks. That was the first of two avalanche close calls that day. April 25, 2004.
