Juan, Greg, and Stefan... [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Juan, Greg, and Stefan...
Juan, Greg, and Stefan climbing the steep snowfinger leading to the cave before the 5,800-ft South Ridge notch (where the cornice is). One slabby, wet Class-4 pitch on the red rock to the right got us to the notch above the lowest notch. I was doing some exploratory climbing when I took this picture. I would catch up with them at the top of the snowfinger. For a wider angle shot, click here. April 25, 2004.

"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."   --Ernest Hemingway
