A view from inside one of the...
A view from inside one of the ice caves...back in 1996 before I knew about the dangers of going in them. Not really all that much to see. Just a stream flowing out under ice, most of which drips cold water down your neck.

This pic reminds me of the ice caves near Paradise. I managed to see them the last year they were open (1980)but

rangers were warning us to stay out due to collapsing ice ceilings. The next year, they were gone, melted and collapsed. The colors inside though were worth the risk, some of the greatest blues I've ever seen. I lost all the slides I took of them though, lousy RGB film that seemed like a bargain at the time. Nice pic.
