There is another way up Mt. Higgins that's easier compared to the East Ridge Route and that is via the basin on its WNW side. We came up this way only because we traversed down through Higgins Creek from Pk 5053 NW of
Round Mountain. This is a view of the basin from about the 4,200-ft level. The summit is at top-center. I'm sure not many people come up this way. The crux was 100 yards of BW5. June 19, 2004.
