Re: What is it ?This is a time exposure of at least 15-20 minutes by my guess. It captures the movement of the stars around the Pole Star. Those bright stars on the left are probably the Big Dipper. Great photo!

26 minutes to be exact, with the aperture right down to F22 to limit scattered light. I had to shut it down as the moon crept over the ridge and kissed the top of that peak, otherwise it would have bleached the image and lost the effect.
This pic would have worked a lot better if it had some snow encrusted peaks or a lake in the foreground.
